ACC employee suspended over bribery
An employee of the Anti-Corruption Commission’s Security Unit was temporarily suspended for taking Tk 10 lakh bribe from a private company.
The ACC suspended Asaduzzaman, who is also a constable, on Tuesday (Oct 2) after finding truth in initial investigation into the matter.
ACC will also take divisional action and file case after a full investigation within three months, said ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattachariay.
He said the private company, from which Asad took bribe, was facing tax dodging case. Asad took over Tk 10 lakh bribe in three phases by intimidating them about the case.
