Arrest warrant issued against Dudu
An arrest warrant has been issued against BNP Vice-Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu on charge of making life threat to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at a live TV talk show recently.

The order has come after the Home Ministry gave permission to take sedition case against Dudu.

Nikhil Kumar Nath, lawyer for the plaintiff of the case, said he on Tuesday received the order passed by Chattogram's Senior Judicial Magistrate ASM Shahidullah Kaiser.

Nurul Alam, president of Rangunia upazila Chhatra League, Chattogram, on September 19 moved to the court of Chattogram's Judicial Magistrate Jayanti Rani for filing case against the BNP leader.

The court took the seeking and asked Rangunia Police Station officer in-charge to file regular case after taking permission from the Home Ministry.

Lawyer Nikhil said a case was lodged against Shamsuzzaman Dudu on charge of sedition and threatening to PM.

The documents approving the case came from the Home Ministry to Chattogram deputy commissioner last week.

The investigation officer of the case on Sunday submitted the approval documents to court. Then, the court issued the arrest warrant.

Allegation was made in the case, “Dudu, recently at a talk show on DBC Television, said Sheikh Hasina has to go away like her father Sheikh Mujib, making clear life threat to the Prime Minister.”
