ACC seeks list of 2500cc private cars, zeeps
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has asked the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) to provide list of private cars or Jeeps of private owners with 2500 cc or more horsepower.
ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told Banglanews that the letter was sent to the BRTA from the ACC office on Wednesday (September 25).
He said that through a letter signed by the ACC director general (Special Investigation Unit) ANM Al Firoz has sent to the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) chairman, seeking the list of private car-Zeeps with 2500 or more horsepower owned by individuals which were registered by BRTA in the last five years.
The letter asks for vehicle details ie engine number / chassis number / model, year of import, nature of vehicle, registration number and date, vehicle price, VAT and other taxes and name of car owner.
He said the information was sought on an emergency basis.
