4th Sylhet Film Festival to be held in February

The 4th Sylhet Film Festival will be held at the Sylhet Agricultural University in February 2020. Sylhet Agricultural University Film Society started the journey of the Sylhet Film Festival in 2017, in order to encourage young and independent filmmakers. Film-makers from different countries participate in this festival every year.

In the first year, 77 short films out of 2052 submissions from 65 participating countries were screened over three days. In the second year, 97 short films were chosen out of 2808 submitted films from 122 participating countries.  Last year, the submissions increased to 3036, but only 96 were selected. The submissions for next year's festival are currently being accepted.
