4 burnt alive in Gazipur fire
Four people, including a woman, were burnt alive as a fire broke away at a colony in Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur district early on Monday.
Twenty others sustained burn up accidents in the fire incident that occurred around 5am at Kalampur Purbopara Nabboi Colony.
The deceased were identified as Munni Begum, 30, his spouse Milon Miah, 40, hailed from Gaibandha, Farhad Hossain, 38, and Abdul Awal, 40.
Kaliakoir Fire Program and Civil Defence station officer Kabirul Alam said the fire originated from an explosion of a good gas pipe collection and it soon pass on three more houses.
Being informed, 3 firefighting systems rushed to the spot and doused the fire after 1 hour of frantic efforts.
Soon after, they recovered four charred bodies from the scene.
The injured were admitted to numerous clinics and hospitals in Gazipur.
However, the real reason for fire could not be known yet.
