4 Bangabandhu killers' gallantry awards revoked; Gazette released
The federal government has revoked the state gallantry awards of four convicted killers of Dad of the country Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Deputy secretary of Liberation War Affairs Ministry Rabindra Nath Dutta signed the gazette notification over Sunday.
Previously June 2, a decision was taken to suspend the condition gallantary awards of four killers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
In this connection, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque explained that your choice will be implemented soon.
The four killers are: Key Dalim, Nur Chowdhury, Rashed Chowdhury and Moslehuddin Khan.
Shariful Haque Dalim was presented with the title Bir Uttam, Nur Chowdhury was presented with the gallantry award as Bir Bikram, and Rashed Chowdhury and Moslehuddin Khan received the honour of Bir Protik for their contribution through the Liberation War in 1971.
The then federal government had presented the awards in 1973 and also issued a gazette notification to the influence on December 15 the same year.
