3 burnt in Chattogram cylinder blast
Three people have sustained burn injuries after a gas cylinder exploded at a residence in Agrabad of Chattogram city.

The accident happened at Mogol Tuli area of Agrabad at around 11 am on Monday (February 10).

The injured were--Shahadat Bhuiyan, 55, son of late Amir Hossain Bhuiyan, of  Kata Bot Gas area under Commerce College Road of Sadarghat Police Station, Golam Mawla, 50, son lately Abdul Hai, hailing from the same area and  Md. Mizan, 38, son of Nurul Islam, of Motiar Pul area of Chowmuhani.

Farid Ahmed Chowdhury, Deputy Assistant Director of Agrabad Fire Service told Banglanews: "We reached the location after learning of the explosion. Although the pipe connected to the cylinder was found there, however, not the cylinder. The injured were taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital."

The gas cylinder exploded at a rented house, Farooq Bhuiyan, cousin of the injured Shahadat Bhuiyan, told Banglanews.

Assistant Deputy Inspector of CMCH police outpost Shilbrata Barua told Banglanews that four people were brought to a healthcare facility. Included in this, two injured suffered 40% injuries and have been shifted to Dhaka after primary treatment.
