2 suspects confesses to gang-raping Ctg RMG worker
Two suspected accused have confessed to raping a ready-made garment worker in Purbo Madarbari area under Chattogram city’s Sadarghat thana.
The arrestees—Md Shah Alam Prakash Russel, 20 and Md Hanif, 20, confessed before the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Md Al Imran Saturday (Mar 2) afternoon.
Sadarghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Nezam Uddin confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
Four youths gang-raped the ready-made garment worker in Purbo Madarbari area, on Friday (Mar 1) evening.
Following complaints of the victim, police arrested two of the accused—Russel and Hanif, in a drive launched at the night, said Sadarghat Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Ruhul Amin.
Efforts are on to nab two other accused—Noyon Prakash Sharif, 25, and Arif Hossain, 24, added the Inspector.
