2 killed in Gaibandha bus-microbus collision
Two persons were killed after a collision between a bus and a microbus in Gobindaganj upazila of the district on Tuesday (August 6).
The accident happened at Boalia Eye Hospital on Rangpur-Dhaka around 11 am.
One of the deceased --Nusrat Jahan Kumu, 37--was a sub-registrar in Rajarhat upazila of Kurigram while another -Jannat Khatun, 13--was housemaid of the former. Nusrat Jahan Kumu was heading towards Dhaka by a microbus with her child onboard.
“Dead bodies were brought to the police station. The five injured were admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College in Bogura. The microbus driver is in critical conditions, but Nusrat’s daughter is fine,” Abdul Kader Jilani, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gobindaganj Highway Police Station, told Banglanews.
