2 JMB men arrested after running away for a decade
The Anti-Terrorism Product (ATU) of Police on Wednesday arrested two participants of the banned militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Chattogram city.

The arrestees are Abdul Karim alias Anwar, 29 and Nur Islam alias Liton, 35, plus they are from Lalmonirhat.

Tipped off, the ATU - a specialised product of Bangladesh Law enforcement - conducted a raid at Kotwali thana crossing at around 2pm and arrested them.

Sources in the ATU headquarters said Anwar and Liton were dynamic JMB members.

Police were seeking for them in connection with a circumstance filed with Hathazari Law enforcement Station in Chattragranm beneath the Counter-Terrorism Act 2009 on December 27 this year 2010.

On 21 July, 2016, a fee sheet was submitted accusing some JMB members, including the two arrested militants, following a study.

The arrested JMB men were on the run since then.
