11 gold bars seized at Dhaka airport
A team of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) seized 11 gold bars weighing around 1.244kg at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon (Oct 3).
The gold bars, worth around Tk62.20 lakh, were seized from five passengers came in a flight from United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Later the matter was disclosed is a press release.
According to the release, on information, customs officials searched five passengers as they were passing the green channel of the airport and found the gold bars hidden inside wallets and pants pockets.
