Woman, daughters among 5 killed in road accident
Five women, including a woman and her two daughters, were killed and at least 19 other people injured in a triangular collision among two buses and a truck on the Western side of Bangabandhu Bridge in Sadar upazila of Sirajganj on Thursday.

Four of the dead were identified as Rehana Begum, 40, wife of Rabiul Mandal, her two daughters Romana Khatun, 17, and Ridi Khatun, 14, residents of Pipulbaria village, and Ayesha Khatun Sumi, 35, wife of Abdul Khaleq, a resident of Hatipara village.   

The identity of another woman could not be known yet.   

Bangabandhu West Police Station OC Syed Shahid Alam said a driver of a Dhaka-bound bus of 'Alif Paribahan' lost control over the steering at Koddar intersection around 11:30am. 

It  first hit a bus then a truck coming from opposite direction and later, overturned on the road while another bus fell into a roadside ditch, leaving five dead on the spot and 19 others wounded.
