Trader dies with virus symptoms falling on stairs in N'ganj
A trader who was simply battling with coronavirus like symptoms died falling on the stairs of his flat at Golachipa in Narayanganj district on Sunday.

However, the relatives and neighbours of the trader did not touch his body despite his shocking death on the stairs.

The deceased trader owned a luxury bakery and baconfectionary at Kalir Bazar area. He used to live there along with his wife and two little daughters there.

Receiving information at about 12:00 noon on Sunday, Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) councillor Maksudul Alam Khondker Khorsed visited the house and brought out the body. 

Because the deceased trader was a Hindu,  Maksudul Alam Khondker Khorsed and his men cremated the dead body at the neighborhood cremation ground.

As none came forward to hold flame on the deceased mouth, Khorshed himslef did the work.

Locals said the deceased had his wife and two daughters at the house. When his health deteriorated, his wife requested his friends and relatives living near by flats to greatly help her taking her husband to a hospital. However, none responded to her request. Later, the wife and two daughters tried to lower the trader from the home for taking him to a healthcare facility. He, however, died on the stairs while he had been brought down.  Later, councillor Khorshed was informed.

NCC councillor Maksudul Alam Khondker Khorsed said he got a telephone call when he was burying your body of a female who died from coronavirus infection each morning. Then he learned that the trader had died

Khorshed said the deceased was a established trader at Golachipa area in Narayanganj city. He along with his seven other friends built a seven-storeyed house where he lived along with his wife and daughters. "Likely to the building, I saw your body of the trader was lying on the stairs between your second and third floors inside building. Later, we took initiatives for cremating your body," he said.
