Total voters 10.98 cr now: CEC
The amount of total voters now in Bangladesh is 10 crore 98 lakh 19 thousand and 112, said Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda.
“Of the total 10 crore 98 lakh 19 thousand 112 voters, 5,54,82,530 are male, 5,43,36,222 female and 360 third gender community members,” the CEC told a discussion marking the National Voters’ Day at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) here.
Huda said the quantity of new voters are 69,71,470 among the full total voters.
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq attended the discussion as the principle guest while Election Commissioners Mahbub Talukdar, Md Rafiqul Islam, Begum Kabita Khanam and Brigadier General Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury (retd.) were present on the occasion, among others.
Senior Secretary of Election Commission Secretariat Md Alamgir chaired it.
