Tomalika returns with play 'Rarang'
National Film Award winner actress Tomalika Karmakar was in USA for last one year to change her personal life. She returned to country before Eid-ul-Fitr. Now she has decided to stay here and will continue acting. She is returning acting through her theatre troupe Aronnyok's popular play 'Rarang'. It's already staged at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. 

According to Tomalika, it will be 184th presentation of the play 'Rarang' where she only absent for three shows. Tomalika said, "After one year to perform on the stage I am afraid of acting. But there likes too. Aronnyok is my theatre group. 'Rarang' is being staged since 2004. 

I was with it from its first show. Respected Mamunur Rashid is my mentor in theatre. I have come into acting to hold his hands. He gives direction of 'Rarang'. I want to continue acting before my death. I will also work for coming Eid."

Tomalika has been engaged with acting for last 27 years. Her acted first film was Sheikh Niamat Ali's Annyo Jibon. She got the National Film Award for acting Abu Sayeed's movie Kittonkhola. Malek Afasari's Ei Ghor Ei Songsar is her one of the mentionable works. She last acted in small screen in Salauddin Lavlu's 'Facebook-e Bibaho', Chayanika Chowdhury's 'Dupur Belar Golpo Chhoto' and Animseh Aich's 'Gulnehar'. Her last mentionable drama serial was Matia Banu Shuku's 'Agun Alpona'.
