Tk 70,000 getting charged for oxygen worthy of Tk 70: Dr Zafrullah
Ganashasthya Kentra founder and trustee Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury has alleged that the novel coronavirus infected clients desperately needs oxygen for survival. 1000 litres of oxygen costs Tk 70 simply. But, some hospitals happen to be charging Tk 700 and others Tk 70,000 for 1,000 litres of oxygen.
"This is a good sheer violation of law. The government ought to be more cautious to stop such irregularities," he explained while speaking with journalists on Friday.
Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury said, "I have recovered from deadly coronavirus owing to the blessings of most. Nowadays, I am analysing how much cash I had to invest for the recovery. It's easier to conduct the primary treatment in the home. Hospital's ICU expenses throat-slit charges. Coronavirus treatment requires important oxygen, antibiotics and physiotherapy."
