The biggest budgeted film in Bangladesh
Chattogram Port Authority (CPA) is going to make a movie on the 'Operation Jackpot' which was carried out by naval commandos during the country's War of Independence in 1971.

The government body Chattogram Port Authority has commissioned Giasuddin Selim as writer and director for the film and according to the director, 'Operation Jackpot' is going to be a massive-scale project. For that, the budget of this film has been decided as BDT 30 crore 10 lakh.

This is the first time that a film has got such a massive amount of money and 'Operation Jackpot' has become the biggest budgeted film ever in Bangladesh.

Interestingly, the director is not satisfied with the budget. He even said that it was a 'poor budget', considering the huge arrangement. "We are going to bring back the heroic tale of Bangalee navy officers who escaped from France to join our liberation war. It is huge and considering that fact, the film needs more money to make," said the director.

"The film will be shot in Europe. The navy commandos escaped from France, so we have to shoot there as well. We have to recreate the 1971 in Bangladesh as well as in Europe. Around 6,000 people will be involved in the film. We will also depict how Bangladeshi people crossed the border to save their lives.

For that we will need thousands of people. We will also have to show the training camp for navy commandoes on the banks of the river Bhagirathi in the fields of Palashi. Overall, it is going to be huge. If we consider that, the budget is really poor," he added.

The script has been finished already. The 'Shubho Mahrat' (launching ceremony) of 'Operation Jackpot' will be held on September 16.
