2 Jubo League activists hacked dead
Two Jubo League men, also siblings, were hacked to death at Chhoto Daroga Hat area in Sitakundu upazila of Chattogram on Monday night.

The deceased were identified as Ramjan Ali Khokon, 34, and Sijol Ali, 30, sons of late Nurul Afsar of Baroyardhala union. 

Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost SI Jahirul Islam Bhuiyan said, a gang of armed miscreants numbering 30-40 attacked the siblings around 7:30pm while they were returning home after attending a programme marking the National Mourning Day at Kutumbobari Community Centre in the area, arranged by the local unit of Awami League.

The gang hacked them indiscriminately, leaving the duo critically injured.

They were rushed to CMCH where Ramjan succumbed to his injuries around 9:30pm and Ramjan around 11:30pm.

Md Iftekhar Hasan, officer-in-charge of Sitakundu Police Station, said that they might have been killed over political rivalry, reports UNB.

Ramjan was a listed criminal and accused in six cases including attack, murder and robbery, the OC added.
