Tabith hurt in attack while electioneering
Tabith Awal, the BNP's mayoral candidate for Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), came under attack while electioneering in city's Gabtoli area on Tuesday that left him and some of his followers injured.
According to the eyewitnesses, a group of people equipped with sticks suddenly attacked Tabith's election campaign in front of Parbat Cinema Hall.
Then, a counter chase occurred between the two groups.
Tabith's supporters alleged that the attackers also threw eggs on their campaign.
Being informed, a police team went to the scene to take the situation under control.
