Surayyal Hizmi, Lecturer Advisor of the PATA Lombok Tourism Polytechnic Scholar Chapter, has been named as the 2021 PATA Face into the future about March 4, the most prestigious honour open to young tourism professionals on the Asia Pacific region.    tourism in bangladesh

“On behalf of everyone at the Pacific Asia Travel and leisure Association (PATA), I would like to congratulate Surayyal Hizmi on winning the 2021 PATA Face into the future award. It had been inspiring to understand about her passion for sustainability and how she engages with the neighborhood community towards this goal. This award will provide her greater exposure in Indonesia and through the entire industry, and I anticipate seeing her career develop as she works consistent with PATA for the liable development of travelling and tourism in your community,” explained Dr Mario Hardy, CEO, PATA.

The true winner of this award isn't me but the many people who motivated me, such as my children and my learners who work hard to always support me. This achievement is for them and the many people who've contributed their lives and effort towards sustainable tourism and causeing this to be world a much better place,” said Hizmi.

Surayyal Hizmi completed her Master’s Degree in 2017 in Applied Technology with a significant in Natural Resources Supervision. Possessing prior understanding of environmental and pure resource management, and sociable sciences, Hizmi’s passion is usually to use her knowledge and skills to help local communities and the in charge and sustainable development of travelling and tourism in West Nusa Tenggara. 

Being a lecturer in Lombok Tourism Polytechnic, she was appointed while the Associate to Vice Director concentrating on the Nationwide and International Partnership Program. It has led her to be an advisor to actively support the campus in making use of sustainability concepts.

To boost her skills and know-how in sustainability, she completed Sustainable Tourism Trained in 2020 and received a Certificate of Sustainability from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). The concept, skills and know-how gained from this programme have been used for the PATA Lombok Tourism Polytechnic Student Chapter programmes such as eco-enzyme and the gallon part.
