Sreemoyee Chattoraj is dangerous
After Kanchan brought allegations of 'extortion' and 'extra-marital affair' on his wife, Pinky Banerjee, she immediately retaliated saying that Kanchan have been instigated. Claiming the allegations 'baseless', Pinky said, "What Kanchan is saying right now is completely uncalled for. He is well aware that each bit of it really is untrue. Sreemoyee Chattoraj is a very dangerous woman. I think a husband and a wife should gather and resolve their problems. The Kanchan Mullick I know could not say such things. I feel he is being instigated by Sreemoyee Chattoraj."
Discussing the mudslinging, Pinky said, "I visited the police station never to complain about my marital life but to complain in what happened certainly to me on June 19, on the streets. I do not need the focus to be shifted. My son was traumatised and I could not bear that. Kanchan said he wished to speak to us. But to have a peaceful conversation, one will need the consent of the other party, right? Could it be not important to look at the other person's convenience and preference? How will you force you to definitely talk peacefully if she/he doesn't want to talk?" she asked.
Discussing Kanchan's FIR at Chetla Police Station against Pinky and her brother, she said, "I wonder what took him so long (a day) to lodge a complaint. Despite Osh's ordeal, I visited the police station almost immediately after the incident. There was no calculation. I am a mother and I could not bear my son's trauma."
Kanchan on his part said, "These are all lies. I have known Sreemoyee for the last 10 years. She perhaps sees me as a mentor/ senior from the industry. She is affiliated to the political party I am connected with and even campaigned for me personally. The problem with Tollywood studio para is that it links persons up very quickly and quite arbitrarily. And Pinky got it. All I ever wanted was to clear the air with Pinky. I've nothing to cover. Hence, I took Sreemoyee along with me to sit and talk. I, actually, wanted to talk in front of her parents, if you need to. My only intention was to straighten out the misunderstandings. That converted into an ugly fight. Pinky lied about Osh's 'shivering'. Parents' disagreement can be traumatising, but Osh was quietly sitting beside Pinky in the automobile. I love my son and can't think about using him to blackmail anyone emotionally."
