Sourav turns a painter in upcoming thriller
Soumojit Adak's upcoming thriller 'Canvas' stars Sourav Das as a dumb young sketch artist.
Rupak originates from a lower-middle-class Bengali family and is dumb by birth. He lives with his brother, his only attachment in life. Rupak meets up their daily needs by drawing portraits of others at a close by park. His life changes forever when he becomes the only witness of a high-profile murder case and unknowingly his portrait becomes essential evidence. Everything starts from here as government announces prize money and on the other hand, the criminals start chasing Rupak. What happens next forms the crux of the film.
"So a lot of things happen in our lifestyle, but to a common man his struggle may be the only thing that he can depend on and you can give even a lot of service to society without having to be in the limelight," explained the director while speaking about the film's core concept.
Meanwhile, Sourav is gearing up for the next web series which is directed by Raja Chanda. The actor and his real-life girlfriend Anindita Bose recently shared the screen in an enchanting web series SPLIT UP Story. He was last observed in the thriller 'Pratidwandi', directed by Saptaswa Basu.
