In 2012, when Sonia last time came to Bangladesh she rendered several numbers of songs and also took part in stage shows.  After a long time, she talked with the media.

She said, "I have planned to come to country in November. In fact, many years I didn't come to here. I couldn't meet with my family in Bangladesh. I really miss my mother and this country.

I also miss days of my music career. But I cannot give assurance to render new song after coming to Bangladesh because I am busy with my family and two children. After going to Canada I performed in stage shows regularly but became mother of two children I couldn't give time to music."
