Signal 3 for maritime ports
Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal no three as deep convection is moving over North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.
Squally weather is likely to affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of the country, said Met office.
Water level could rise above 2-4 meters in coastal districts.
All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to come closer to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
