Shahjalal Airport activities go back to normal after fire incident
The activities of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport became normal after a fire incident took place at the first floor of immigration office (Terminal-1).
Earlier on Sunday evening (July 15), people at the airport started to panic after the fire erupted around 5:58pm. On information, seven units of Fire Service rushed to scene.
Director of Civil Aviation Kazi Iqbal Kabir said, “Everything is normal. Flights operation and immigration activities have been restored to normal. There’s nothing to be worried about.”
He also said that fear spread among people after smoke was seen coming out of the immigration lobby.
However, the cause of the fire or smoke is yet to be figured out.
