Saudi fines Biman BDT 1.02cr for noncompliance with health guidelines
The government of Saudi Arabia has fined Biman Bangladesh Airlines SAR 4.5 lac (BDT 1.02 crore) because of its noncompliance with health guidelines.

Since Saudi resumed travel following coronavirus pandemic, the government has mandated all airlines flying in and out of its airport to disinfect their aircraft prior to travel.

According to reports, the national flag carrier of Bangladesh flew to Saudi's airport without sticking with that one health guideline and therefore was charged with an excellent.

Despite the fact that the flag carrier confirmed the problem, it did not disclose the precise flight schedule which resulted in this incident.

However, the airline said it formed a committee to get the responsible personnel behind this noncompliance with health guidelines.

Ziyauddin Ahmed, Director of Biman formed the committee of three: Md Golam Sarwar Ahbayok, Manager, Ground Service, Airport Services, Biman, Md Masudul Hasan, Assistant Manager, Security Division, Biman, and Pranab Kumar Baruya, Deputy Manager, Finance, Hazrat Shahjalal AIRPORT TERMINAL in Dhaka.

The committee has been ordered to provide a report on the reason for this incident by July 30 and make certain that no such mishap ever occurs again later on, said Biman.
