KSA to keep support for Bangladesh, says envoy
The Saudi government will continue to extend its support to accelerate the socioeconomic development of Bangladesh alongside the Rohingya issue.
Newly appointed Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Essa Yousef Essa Al duhailan said this when he presented his credentials to President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban in the afternoon, reports UNB.

Welcoming the envoy, the President hoped that the prevailing bilateral ties between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia will further be expanded during his stay here.
Expressing his satisfaction over the existing trade and investment relations between your two brotherly Muslim countries, President Hamid urged the ambassador to take far better measures to further expand the ties.
He said a good number of Bangladeshi nationals, including skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers, will work in Saudi Arabia which is adding to the overall development of both countries.
Mentioning the meeting between then King of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Father of the country Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman through the 4th Summit of Non-Aligned Movement held in Algiers, Algeria in 1973, the President said the relationship between your two countries developed since then.
The envoy sought cooperation from the President during his assignment in Bangladesh and the President assured him of providing all sorts of cooperation.

Earlier, on his arrival at the presidential palace, a smartly turned-out contingent of the horse-mounted President Guard Regiment (PGR) gave the envoy a guard of honour within the ceremony.
