6 returnees from Saudi Arabia, Dubai home-quarantined in Kurigram
Six returnees from Saudi Arabia and Dubai were quarantined in the home in Kurigram as a precautionary measure against Coronavirus.
Dr. Nazrul Islam, Health insurance and Family Planning Officer of the Sadar Upazila confirmed the problem to Banglanews on Friday (March 13).
“All are residents of sadar upazila. 5 of them returned home repectively on March 4 and 5 after performing Omrah Hajj. They aged between 40 and 49. a youth returned home from Dubai on March 8. They are, however, healthy and normal,” said Nazrul Islam.
31 beds were kept ready after installing Isolation Ward in hospitals of the district. Already, 20 beds at 250-bed General Hospital and 21 Upazila Hospital were kept ready, Habibur Rahman, another civil surgeon of Kurigram told media.
