Samrat on 6-day remand
A Dhaka court on Sunday placed expelled Jubo League leader Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat on a six days' remand in a case filed for amassing wealth illegally.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Kayes granted him the remand as the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) seeking seven-days remand after producing the Jubo League leader.
Meanwhile, Samrat's lawyer filed a bail petition this morning but the Judge rejected the petition.
