Sachchu's 3 decades in acting
Two-time National Film Award winning actor Shahidul Alam Sachchu--a popular face in the country's theatre, television and film--has been entertaining the audience over the last three decades.

Sachchu made his entry into the professional acting in the 90's with his role in the film 'Anjali' directed by Darashiko. Since then, the actor has played in numerous films time to time under the direction of celebrated directors like Chashi Nazrul Islam, Shahidul Islam Khokon, Matin Rahman and Kohinoor Akter Suchanda, among others.

Sachchu received his first National Film Award for 'Meghla Akash' directed by Nargis Akter, while he earned the same award for the second time for Golam Rabbani Biplob-directed 'Britter Bairey'.  Alongside working in the theatre, Sachchu has appeared in more than 300 tele-dramas till now.

Satisfied with his today's position, Sachchu said about his career, "Wherever I go to the shooting in any part of the country, I just get fascinated with the love and respect from the people. Even, the Bangladeshi expatriates living in the different countries do the same when I go abroad. Without being an actor, it wouldn't have happened."
