RU Press Club gets new committee
Salman Shakil of the Daily Bhorer Dak and Belal Hossain Biplob of the Daily Industry have been elected as president and general secretary of Rajshahi University Press Club respectively.
The chief election commissioner professor Md. Amzad Hossain announced the election results on Tuesday noon.
The other elected office bearers are vice presidents Akram Hossain of Daily Bangladesher Khabor and Ashif Hasan Razu of Daily Jaijaidin, joint general secretary Sohanur Rahman of Dhaka Times, treasurer Shahin Alam Rohan of Daily Gonokantho, press and publication secretary Sayed Sajol of Vorer Pata, literature and cultural affairs secretary Abu Bakar Antu of Daily Amader Orthoniti, sports secretary M R Mamun of Daily Swadesh Pratidin; and executive members Kamrul Hasan Ovi, Abdullah Al Mamun and Toushik Tuhin.
Advisors of the club professors Md. Hasanath Ali, Fazlul Hoque, Rezaul Karim Bakshi, and former president of the club Rabiul Islam Tushar were present during the election.
