Rohingya crisis to be resolved politically: Ban Ki-moon
Former UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon said Bangladesh alone can not solve Rohingya crisis. It is to be resolved politically.

Ban Ki-moon told reporters after his meeting with Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen at a city hotel on Saturday (November 23).

He said over 1.1 million Rohingyas have taken shelter in Cox's Bazar camp.   Voluntary sand safe Rohingya repatriation has to be ensured.

After appreciating Bangladesh’s role in facing up to storm and floods, the former UN chief said Bangladesh is combating climate change.

Dr AK Abdul Momen said issues like climate change, implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were discussed during the meeting.

Ban Ki-moon came to Dhaka on November 22 to attend the 13th convocation of Brac University (BracU) at Army Stadium on Saturday afternoon.  

Ban Ki-moon last came to Dhaka on July of this year. He also came in 2011.
