Proper use of technology can prevent fire: Minister
Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology Mustafa Jabbar said fire prevention is possible using technology available in the country.
He said this while responding the query of journalists after visiting the ongoing construction of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Hi-Tech Park in Rajshahi on Saturday.
The minister said, “Using our own technology, it is possible to get information related to the fire from thousands of miles away. I would be happy if those people who make buildings use these technologies with our advice.”
He further said because of administrative laxity, many irregularities have been made to construct multi-storied buildings. But the government will take strict measures against those who have violated the code.
Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner SM Abdul Kader along with senior officials of the project was also present at the time.
