Probe body formed over Yangon crash landing
A six-member probe body has been formed to investigate the crash landing of Bangladesh Biman Airlines' Dash-8 aircraft in Yangon, Myanmar.
Shoyeb Chowdhury, chief of flight safety of Biman, will lead the committee.
Shakil Meraz, managing director (public relations) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, confirmed the matter on Thursday morning.
Earlier on Wednesday evening, at least 19 people out of 33 passengers and crews were injured as the aircraft skidded off the runway at Yangon International Airport.
The injured were admitted to the hospital after the accident, but condition of none was critical, said Bangladesh High Commissioner to Myanmar Manjurul Karim.
However, the aircraft sustained major damage, he added.
