Principal, vice-principals to be upgraded to third grade
Principals and vice-principals of 98 honors-masters-level government colleges are being upgraded to third grade.
The Principals and vice-principals in professor posts recruited through BCS general education cadre are actually contained in the fourth grade of the national pay scale.
The ministry of education has sought a proposition from the directorate of secondary and higher education (DSHE), sources in the DSHE said on Monday.
The authorities concerned said the proposition have been delivered to the ministry of finance after collecting information through the DSHE.
On October 6, the ministry asked the DSHE to send again the proposition including draft recruitment rules.
An order letter was delivered to the overall direction of the department on October 18 in this regard.
In March 2019, the training ministry proposed to upgrade the posts of 272 principals and 157 vice-principals of government colleges, who are in professor post (fourth grade), to the third grade.
Concurrently, the ministry also proposed to upgrade 15 posts--six directors posts of the DSHE and principals of nine selected colleges-- to the next grade.
