President sits in on special session of JS
President Abdul Hamid witnessed the discussion through the special session of the National Parliament on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the country Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
He witnessed the special session from the President’s Box at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Sunday evening.
Chief whip received the President approximately at 7pm when he reached parliament.
He entered the President's office at 7:45 pm.
Hamid also visited Bangabandhu pavilion at South Plaza at 9:45 pm.
Earlier on November 9, the President addressed the special session on the occasion of Mujib Year. On the same day, the Prime Minister and Leader of the home Sheikh Hasina proposed an over-all discussion on Rule 147 to honor the Father of the Nation.
Members of Parliament discussed this proposal in Parliament going back 5 working days.
Jatiya Party MP Kazi Firoz Rashid addressed the session.
