President Biden to declare key disaster in Texas
US President Joe Biden is set to declare a significant disaster for Texas, clearing the way for more federal money to be allocated to relief efforts.
Power is returning found in the state and temperatures are set to go up however, many 13 million people remain facing difficulties accessing clean water.
Mr Biden has said he'll visit Texas so long as his existence isn't a burden on pain relief efforts.
Practically 60 deaths have already been attributed to winter across the US.
White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki verified Mr Biden has asked his team to expedite Texas' request for a disaster declaration.
He has also experienced touch with the mayors of some of Texas' biggest locations, such as Houston, Austin and Dallas, to make sure they get access to government resources, an administration official said.
Several other southern states hit by snow and ice storms this week have also reported water service outages.
Winter weather has also cut off water in the town of Jackson, Mississippi - residence to around 150,000 people - along with the greatest county in Tennessee that includes the town of Memphis, with above 651,000 residents.
Over the US South, an area unaccustomed to such frigid temperatures, persons whose pipes have frozen took to boiling snow to create water.
