Pranab Mukherjee, Bidhya Devi to deal with JS spl session
Former Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and Nepalese President Bidhya Devi Bhandari are expected to deal with the session of the Jatiya Sangsad slated for March 22 and 23 on the occasion of Mujib Year.
President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS after Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury paid a courtesy turn the President at Bangabhaban here tonight .
President M Abdul Hamid will give the invitation to the 2 world leaders to for delivering their speeches on the occasion of Mujib Year, the birth centenary of Father of the state Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Abedin said.
He said the President was apprised of overall preparation of the special parliament session and a few other programmes, including children fair on the JS complex on Saint Joseph , as a part of the events.
Besides, the speaker informed the President about the various development activities within the parliament complex during the meeting. the top of the state appreciated the initiatives taken by the Jatiya Sangsad to mark the birth centenary of Bangabandhu, the best Bangali of all times.
This celebration would help know the new generation both home and abroad about the life and works of the daddy of Nation, President Hamid added.
