Popy turns 'Indubala' for web series
Popular actress Popy will be seen in 'Indubala', the first web series of her career. The 10-episode series starring Tariq Anam Khan, Shahiduzzaman Selim and Anchal, among others, is directed by Ananya Mamun. It will be uploaded on the digital platform of 'Cinespot' in the first week of November, said producer Yasir Arafat.
"It was a sudden decision. The production house proposed me first. I found that the story was pretty good, the whole series is centered around the eponymous character of Indubala. The budget was also high. Instantly, I gave them my consent," Popy said.
A part of the shooting was done in Kolkata last week while the rest will take place in Dhaka from 26 October."The style of work has changed in this age. I want to work in all forms of media, as long as the project is good," Popy said, adding, "Stars from Tallywood, Bollywood are also working in web series now."
