PM meets President at JS
Leader of the House and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina met President Abdul Hamid at his Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban office on Wednesday night.
The Prime Minister went to the President's office after the first day's sitting of the maiden session of the 11th parliament was over, UNB reports.
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain and President's wife Rashida Khanom were present on the occasion.
After the meeting, President's press secretary Joynal Abedin said the President greeted Sheikh Hasina for clinching absolute majority in parliament and becoming Prime Minister for the fourth time.
He also wished overall success of the present government.
Abdul Hamid also congratulated Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on her being elected Speaker for the third time.
The Prime Minister thanked the President for delivering his speech in the House and wished his good health, Joynal said.
