PM hosts iftar for alem-ulema, orphans
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina hosted an iftar party for war-wounded freedom fighters (FFs), orphans, physically-challenged children and alem-ulema (Islamic scholars) at her official residence- Ganabhaban on Sunday (May 19).
The injured in the August 21 grenade attack, members of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s Birth Centenary Celebration Committee and the National Implementation Committee and family members and relatives of the premier joined the iftar.
Prior to iftar, the premier participated in a special munajat offered seeking continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation.
Senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Maulana Mijanur Rahman conducted the munajat.
