PATA appoints Taufiq Rahman as Global Board Member
Taufiq Rahman, CEO of one of the leading tour operating company of the country Journey Plus, has been appointed as the Global Board Person in Pacific Asia Travel Association for the time 2020-2021.
The announcement came in a letter issued on October 19 by Mario Hardy, CEO of PATA.
Rahman's new role for a term of half a year has been in effect because the Annual General Meeting of PATA held on October 14 and can end at the PATA AGM in March/April 2021.
It can be mentioned here that Taufiq Rahman can be the Secretary General of PATA Bangladesh Chapter.
At the PATA AGM 2020, members have approved the organisational redesign of governance structure, bylaws changes and transition plan. The changes to PATA's design and comprehensive revision of bylaws are aimed to bring the association in close alignment with the normal business practices of the industry, Mario Hardy added in the letter.
