After making quite a few critically acclaimed web series Aritra Sen is all geared up for his directorial debut on the big screen. Titled 'Ghare Pherar Gaan', it's a musical film that also focuses on the complexities of modern-day relationships. This is the first time Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Ishaa Saha are pairing up. Gourab Chattopadhyay and Anasua Majumder are also part of the cast.

The story revolves around Tora who gets settled abroad after marrying Ribhu. However, their married life faces go through a tough time and mid all these Tora comes across musician Imran. Interestingly, Tora who couldn't pursue her singing career for several reasons falls for Imran. They get involved in a relationship but will Tora be able to leave her marital life for a new relationship. Will Imran return to his root leaving his life abroad? All these answers will be answered in 'Ghare Pherar Gaan'.

Besides directing this musical, Aritra has also penned the story and Soumyashree Ghosh has written the screenplay. While Parambrata will be seen as Imran, Ishaa plays Tora. Gourab Chattopadhyay takes on the role of Ribhu and Anasua will be seen as Ribhu's mother.

Parambrata and Aritra have been partners for years in their production house. So, he's also the creative producer of this film.

"We haven't seen a passionate, matured love story in Bangla cinema for a long time. We were working on three-four stories and finally decided to make the film with Aritra's story. The eternal love between a man and woman and music; that's the main theme of 'Ghare Pherar Gaan'.

Meanwhile, Parambrata's directorial 'Bony' is set to release on October 10. The sci-fi thriller stars Parambrata Himself, Koel Mallick, Anjan Dutt, Kanchan Mullick and others in pivotal roles. On the other hand, Ishaa's latest release 'Torulatar Bhoot' has received mixed reviews so far. She's now eagerly waiting for the release of her much-awaited 'Golondaaj'.
