Noted actor-playwright Mannan Hira no more
Noted actor and playwright Mannan Hira passed on at Kakrail Islamia Medical center in the capital on Wednesday night. He was 64.

He was taken up to a healthcare facility from his Shantinagar home while he fell sick. There he died around 8:30pm after experienced a cardiac arrest, poet Mohan Rayhan confirmed. 

Mannan Hira's body will be taken to Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in 11am for folks from all walks of lifestyle to pay their last respect. He will end up being buried at his relatives graveyard at Rahmatganj in Sirajganj district down the road the day.

The renowned playwright had received prestigious Bangla Academy Award in 2006. He was as well the President of Potho Natok Parishad.

Meanwhile, President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock and sorrow in the death of Mannan Hira.
