15 Inspectors transferred in DMC; 8 new OCs

Dhaka Metropolitan Law enforcement (DMP) has transferred 15 inspectors while eight of these were made officer in-charge (OC) in different Police Stations.

An official order, signed by DMP Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam, in this regard was issued about Wednesday.

The transferred OCs are as followed: Biplob Kishore Shil of City-Intelligence Analysis Department was transferred in Tejgaon Industrial Area Law enforcement Station, Md Delwar Hossain of DB Ramna Division in Bhashantek Law enforcement Station, Mohammad Abdul Majid PPM of City-Intelligence Analysis Section in Uttarkhan Police Station, Shah Md Akhtaruzzaman Ilias of DB Ramna Division in Uttara Paschim Law enforcement Station, Khandaker Nasir Uddin of Sabujbagh Law enforcement Station in Demra Police Station, Md Moradul Islam of Shahjahanpur Law enforcement Station in Sabujbagh Police Station, Md Kamal Uddin of Tejgaon Police Station in Uttar-Purba Police Station, Munsi Sabbir Ahmed of Bhashantek Law enforcement Station in Khilkhet Law enforcement Station.

Meanwhile, Uttara Purba Police Station OC Md Noor Alam Siddiqu was transferred to DB Gulshan Division, Uttarakhan Law enforcement OC Md Helal Uddin to Headquarters and Admin Division, Uttara Paschim Law enforcement OC Tapan Chandra Saha PPM to DB Ramna Division, Khilkhet Law enforcement OC Mohammad Borhan Uddin to ICT Division, Sabujbagh Police OC Md Mahbub Alam to DB Ramna Division, Demra Law enforcement OC Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman to DB Uttara Division and Tejgaon Industrial Location Law enforcement OC Mohammad Ali Hossain Khan to Prosecution Division.

UNB adds: on December 2 this past year, DMP announced new postings of 18 law enforcement inspectors, including OCs of eight law enforcement stations.

DMP made the maneuver following an anti-gambling get which resulted in the surfacing of allegations that lots of policemen backed the gamblers up.

Also, there were complaints that some DMP officials have been serving mainly because OCs at different police stations for a long time.
