No more plastic material: Amazon India switches single-use plastic material with recyclable materials
Amazon India announced on Mon it has eliminated all single-use plastic in product packaging from its 50-as well as fulfilment centres found in the country.
In September 2019, the business had pledged to meet up this goal within an accelerated timeframe by June this season, it said in a statement.
The first milestone towards this goal was achieved in December 2019 when the business replaced plastic packaging materials, such as for example bubble wraps and air pillows, with paper cushion’ in its packaging.

“All the plastic packaging material from the Amazon Fulfilment Centres is 100 % recyclable through obtainable collection, segregation and recycling channels,” the statement added.
