Nana Shah in film for last three decades
He got acceptability among the viewers by virtue of his acting quality either in role of hero or villain (negative role) in movies. He is Nana Shah who always drew attention of the viewers as a villain in the big screen. 

He got appreciation for acting in villain role in late Shibly Sadik-directed and late Salman Shah and Shabnur-starred movie 'Ananda Ashru'.  In 1982, he acted in role of hero against Saima in late Abdullah Al Mamun's movie 'Mati O Manush'. Then he acted in late Razzak's movie 'Rajmistri'. Later he was detached from acting for unknown reason for many years.

Nana Shah returned to acting in late Hasibul Islam Mizan-directed movie 'Prem-er Kosom'. Mahfuz Ahmed was hero and late Antora was heroine in that film. During that time he acted in Hafiz Uddin's movie Bajigar, which was released first. He later acted in many movies like 'Prithibi Amake Chaina', 'Odhikar Chai', 'Tumi Aamar Bhalobasha', etc. 

Nana Shah said, "My father Shah Alam was an actor. My maternal grandfather Sharfas Khan was also actor in Mumbai. From that attraction I came into acting. I love acting. I want to continue acting till my death. Within very soon I am going to work in a director's two movies. From November 25, I am going to start shooting of Kazi Hayat's movie 'Bir'."
