82 tones of onion arrives from Pakistan
The first consignment of onion by air arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport from Pakistan in Dhaka on Wednesday (Nov 20) night.
Air cargo Silkway West Airlines carrying 82 tones of onion landed at the airport around 7:30pm, said an official of Civil Aviation and Tourism ministry told Banglanews.
Earlier Pakistan has received the first onion export order of more than 300 tons from Bangladesh after nearly 15 years of recess following an Indian ban on the vegetable’s outbound shipment to its neighbouring country.
