Muzaffar Ahmed's first namaz-e-janaza at Jatiya Sangsad premises
The first namaz-e-janaza of Bangladesh National Awami Party (NAP) president professor Muzaffar Ahmed, a member of the advisory council of the Liberation War-time government in exile, will be held at the premises of Jatiya Sangsad.
The janaza will held at South plaza of the national parliament bhaban at 11:00am on Saturday.
After paying tributes by people from all walks at Central Shaheed Minar, his second namaz-e-janaza will held this afternoon.
The third namaz-e-janaza will be taken place at Baitul Mukarram National mosque after Asr prayer.
At night, his body will be taken to his home village Elahabad in Debidwar upazila of Cumilla district and at 10:00am on the next day he would be buried.
Earlier, Muzaffar Ahmed, 98, died around 7:49pm at Apollo Hospital in capital Dhaka while undergoing treatment.
Professor Muzaffar Ahmed, also former teacher of Dhaka University's Economics department, and three-time lawmaker, with infection in lung and abnormal low blood pressure and several old age complications, was admitted to Apollo Hospital on August 19.
He was kept on life support at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) under supervision of professor Dr Borhan Uddin Ahmed.
