Munia's death: Sister files GD citing death threats
The sister of Mosarat Jahan Munia, who was found dead at a set in Gulshan on April 26, has filed a general diary (GD) Cumilla Kotwali police station, citing death threats.
Nusrat Jahan Tania, also the plaintiff in a case filed against Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir over Munia's death, lodged the GD on Saturday.
Nusrat said she have been pressured by Sayem Sobhan's men to withdraw the case.
After she refused to drop the charges against him, she alleged in the overall diary that some persons called her and her husband on cellular phone many times, threatening to kill her if she will not reach a settlement and retract the case.
The 21-year-old Munia, a lover of Sayem Sobhan Anvir, managing director of Basundhara Group, country's among the largest professional conglomerates, was a second-year student and HSC exam prospect at Mirpur Cantonment Public School and College.
On Monday (April 26) night, Munia's elder sister Nusrat Jahan Tania filed a case with Gulshan Police Station.
In her case, Tania brought the charges of abetting suicide against businessman Sayem Sobhan Anvir. Receiving the complain, police are actually investigating the case.
